President of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga, has condemned in strong terms the ambushed attack in Zubin Potok against Kosovo Police officers. Jahjaga considered the act as an attempt to prevent functioning of rule of law in Kosovo.

“Republic of Kosovo institutions will not allow obstructing establishment of rule of law throughout the country’s territory and we will not accept endangering of the democratic functioning of our society,” a press release issued by the office of the President reads.

Jahjaga further said that the Kosovo Police is an institution that has built trust among all citizens of Kosovo and it guarantees security for all. She called on law enforcement authorities to apprehend the authors of the attack and bring them to justice.
