Last night Žbogar said to Television Kohavision’s program ‘Interactive’ that persons convicted by the special tribunal would serve prison sentences out of Kosovo. He voiced the expectation that Kosovo will sign the necessary agreement with Netherlands, in order to make this possible.

He went on to say that eventual refusal of the Kosovo parliament to support the establishment of the court could jeopardize relations between Kosovo and the European Union and in the same time create the opportunity that such court is established by the United Nations.

“Prosecutors and judges will be internationals. That was our proposal. Sensitive processes will take place out of Kosovo too, while proceedings and prison sentences will be served out of Kosovo. Considering current such state of affairs, Kosovo should sign a special agreement with Netherlands,” said Žbogar and explained that bilateral agreement is needed with Netherlands before the court is established.

Ambassador of the Great Britain to Kosovo Ian Cliff also said last night in his interview to RTK that in case if Kosovo refuses such court, than it refuses and the EU standards.

“If there is nothing to hide and if there are no cases, than no one should be afraid of tribunal,” said Cliff and added that allegations from Dick Marty’s report should be taken seriously.
