Employees of the municipality of Gracanica ended their work, this morning for 15 minutes, protesting over the announcement on the adoption of the draft law in connection to general elections in the Assembly.

Employees of the municipality of Gracanica in this way once more sent a warning to the public that the adoption of such a law jeopardizes the rights and interests of minority communities in Kosovo, said a statement.

Once again was asked withdrawal of a draft law on general elections from the Parliament, which prevents Serbs without Kosovo documents to vote.

It also has been asked to withdraw the provision of the law annulling reserved seats.

The protest took place for the third time, and was held in all ten municipalities with Serbian majority.

The Kosovo Assembly last week adopted the first reading of a draft law on general elections, and in a week it should be back on the agenda when for the second time the law will be voted and when its final adoption is expected.

Meanwhile, MPs can make amendments to the draft.
