EULEX Chief Bernd Borchardt said that establishment of the Special court for investigation of war crimes in Kosovo and Metohija is targeted on individuals, not against KLA, or against “destroying of history”.  “The history cannot be written again. The history and facts are known,” said Borchardt in an interview for RTK.

Borchard said that establishment of this Court is mandatory, because the Court should reject or confirm the claims of Dick Marti about trafficking in organs of Serbian civilians in Kosovo and Metohija.

According to him, establishment of the Court would confirm that Kosovo and its leadership are not afraid of such Court, which would contribute to the positive signals from the EU.

Commenting on claims that establishment of such Court is targeted towards some KLA commanders, Borchardt stated that it is not truth because EULEX prosecutors are not investigating “the commander of some particular organization, but person which is suspected of committing certain crimes.”

“EULEX Prosecutors were chasing both, Albanians and Serbs,” added Borchardt. He stated that voting for establishment of such Court is the right decision, though he is aware it is at the same time tough decision.
