The three-year Bogdan regularly visits his dad, he does not understand where he is, and we avoid talking about it in front of him. I do not want him to already feel the injustice, said to Vesti Milena Ivanovic whose husband leader of Civic Initiative Serbia, Democracy, Justice Oliver Ivanovic was arrested in late January on suspicion of being responsible for the killings of Kosovo Albanians in 1999 and 2000.

Soon will be 90 days since Oliver is in custody, do you expect his release?

– I expect Oliver to be released on April 27th. I hope they will honour the warranty of the Government of the Republic of Serbia and he will be released pending trial.

Natasa Kandic has confirmed what many before her said – there was no evidence against Oliver Ivanovic.

– Kandic statement is very important due to the fact that she was specifically dealing with crimes in Kosovo and Metohija.

Have you been presented any evidence that associates Oliver with the alleged crimes?

– I do not have access to the evidence in the proceedings. To all of it contributed the Albanian press and so-called witnesses, as Halit Barani. It is interesting that the same prosecutor’s office never initiated any proceedings against false witnesses, which is their responsibility. It helps fabrication of false witnesses against Serbs. The result is a further exodus of Serbs.

How does Oliver feel now?

– Better, but far from well, because one day of detention for a man who is innocent is too heavy. But I believe in him and his power. I believe in justice. I believe the day is closer when this injustice will end.
