Adopted amendments to the statutes of municipalities in northern Kosovo (RTS)

Councillors of the municipality of Zvecan/Zveqan and Zubin Potok on today’s session, on the recommendation of the Kosovo Ministry of Administration and Local Self-Government, adopted certain amendments to the Municipal Statute.

In the municipality of Zvečan/Zveqan session was attended by 16 of 19 members who by a majority of votes, with no votes of Albanian deputies, adopted amendments to the Statute of Zvečan/Zveqan, Tanjug reports.

The Article 5n of the Municipal Statute was amended, which states that the symbols of the municipality will be defined in a separate procedure to be adopted by a two-thirds majority of the Assembly of Zvečan/Zveqan.

Mayor of Zubin Potok Nemanja Jaksic said that even in this municipality in northern Kosovo councillors adopted certain amendments to the Municipal Statute.

Amendments of the statute were adopted and in Leposavic/Leposaviq, while in North Mitrovica this likely will be on agenda on April 27.
