BELGRADE – President of the Government Commission on Missing Persons Veljko Odalović announced that on April 23, forensic teams will begin digging in Rudnica near Raska, which is believed to be a mass grave.

“The location is ready. The objects were removed that were potential impediment. The building which was located on the site was demolished and thus conditions are created for forensic and other expert teams to enter the site and start digging and excavation,” said Odalović for Radio and Television Serbia (RTS).

According to him, at that location from April 23, dozens of experts will be hired, archaeologists, topologists, forensic, pathologist and technicians.

Prosecution of war crimes during the investigation, which is being prepared, will consider whether a building next to the site was purposely built to conceal the crime.
