The front page editorial of this daily explains initially that Kosovo Statistics Agency has published a report called “Kosovar Migration,” which brings figures of migrants from Kosovo and the reasons that force them to migrate, mainly in Europe. According to the editorial, Government institutions have launched a campaign to raise awareness of the population and prevent migration which can also affect visa liberalization. However, only economic development and opening of new working places can reduce the will to leave Kosovo.
The youth in Kosovo cannot find jobs even after finishing their studies, therefore they are ready to pay thousands of Euros for a visa or for illegal migration. According to this daily, the number of 700 thousand migrants from Kosovo can increase significantly in the future if Kosovo does not manage to create conditions for investments and if it does not have a more responsible Government. “During the last 15 years, we have become the symbol of the Republic with the richest politicians and the poorest population. This has to change if we want to prevent Kosovars from seeking a better life,” concludes the editorial.
