Member of the Progressive Democratic Party (PDS) Initiative Board Goran Marinkovic stated yesterday that PDS will file the appeal with relevant Kosovo institutions due to serious omissions during elections held on 8 June, as soon as the official election results are published.

“PDS has valid proves that serious omission have taken place during the election process in Kosovo, thus it will appeal to relevant Kosovo institutions and international institutions and organizations. Our party will, if necessary, file the appeal with the Supreme Court and Constitutional Court of Kosovo,” said  Marinkovic to Beta agency.

Marinkovic added that according to preliminary election results, PDS won one seat, what means that Nenad Rasic will represent PDS in the Kosovo Assembly.

Mul Desku, head of the Secretariat for Elections Complaints and Appeals Panel earlier said to Beta that Panel rejected appeals submitted by five Albanian parties, and the PDS with regards to alleged irregularities with ballots received by-mail from Serbia.

Besides Nenad Rasic from the PDS, other Serbian MPs in the Kosovo Assembly will be five of them from the Serbian List and four of them from the Independent Liberal Party (SLS).

According to the unofficial results members of the Serbian List who will represent the Serbian community are all members of the Socialist’s Movement: Velimir Rakic, Milena Milicevic, Slavko Simic, Milka Vuletic and Bojan Mitic, whereas those from the SLS are: Slobodan Petrovic, incumbent Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo, and MPs from the previous legislative mandate Sasa Milosavljevis, Jasmina Zivkovic and Jelena Bontic.
