PDK tries to convince parties for the new government

(KTV)

Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) keeps hoping that it will manage to break the unity of opposition political parties, LDK-AAK-Nisma and Vetëvendosje, which few days earlier pledged in writing that they will not respond to any invitation that might come in from Hashim Thaçi’s party.

However, Thaçi did not stop his efforts to convince these parties to form the government, while there is still no agreement.

PDK officials said that they were close to a deal with LDK of Isa Mustafa to form the new government. But, LDK presidency member Agim Veliu ruled any opportunity of coalition with PDK. Veliu said that no one from LDK is talking to PDK about formation of new government, as, according to him, LDK-AAK-Nisma Coalition is in power.

PDK is also talking to AAK to reach a government deal. KTV learned that Agim Çeku met on Saturday with Ramush Haradinaj; however, AAK Secretary General Burim Ramadani denied this.

PDK also talked to Nisma about potential coalition. The only political entity that did not talk to PDK is Vetëvendosje.

Kosovo President Atifete Jahjaga refuted media speculations regarding the date of new Kosovo Assembly constitution. Jahjaga said she will take the decision about this matter within two days.

The President clarified that the Assembly will initially be constituted and then the candidate for future Prime Minister of Kosovo will be mandated.

Qerkini blames internationals for prolongation of the missing persons’ issue

(Klan Kosova)

The European Union Special Representative (EUSR) in Kosovo Samuel Zbogar and the US Ambassador Tracey Ann Jacobson were accused in Skenderaj/Srbica. They are being considered as the key persons to be blamed for prolongation of the process for throwing light on the missing and stoppage of excavations in Rudnica.

Bajram Qerkini, deputy chairperson of the Coordination Council of Associations of Families of the Missing, said that Kosovo institutions could not do more, but the ones that did not do anything for the missing are the internationals.

During a meeting of the Coordinating Council of Associations of Families of the Missing, the head of governmental committee for the missing Prenk Gjetaj admitted that more should have been done for the missing and their families.

Gjetaj said that stopping of investigations in Rudnica of Raska is cruel and unacceptable.

Djuric: No normalization of relations while property is being extorted

(RTK2)

Director of the Serbian Office for Kosovo Marko Djuric said that there cannot be true normalization of relations between Belgrade and Prishtinë/Pristina while property is being extorted.

Djuric said that Serbia wants that the issue of social and state-owned property in Kosovo become one of the topics that will be solved in the continuity of Brussels dialogue.

“This is mostly emphasized in the municipality of Strpce/Shtërpcë. It is unacceptable to us,” Djuric said.
