Radio Free Europe reported that over two million Euros have been allocated for the Fund for development of northern Kosovo, however no request was made so far for the use of this fund.  The Fund was created based on the agreement reached between Pristina-Belgrade during the dialogue in Brussels.

Gezim Baxhaku, adviser at the Ministry for Finance, told RFE that €2.153 million are allocated for social, economic and infrastructure projects for the four municipalities of the north. “The board consisted by the head of the European Office in Kosovo, the Minister of Finance and a representative of northern municipalities is competent to decide on the manner the funds would be used, however we have not received any request and no decision was made for the use of the allocated funds for the north,” said Baxhaku.
