Mayor of Gjakova/Djakovica, Mimoza Kusari-Lila, singed with the UNDP representative, Andrew Russell, a memorandum for an anti-corruption project.

“International cooperation and awarded projects without a doubt will result in the increase of the level of services in the Municipality of Gjakova, increase of transparency, social reintegration and economic sustainability”, said Kusari-Lila.

Head of UNDP in Kosovo, Andrew Russell, said that the project is aimed at improving the living standard for the citizens by preventing corruption activities and expressed belief that the project will be successful in Gjakova/Djakovica.

“United Nations Development Programme aims at uprooting poverty and social inequality and together with municipality leaders we implement also other projects for the benefit of the citizens, especially for lowering the corruption level”, said Russell.
