Acting Prime Minister, Hashim Thaci, wrote in a Facebook post that Kosovo will not be a safe haven for radicals or extremists who want to change clear Euro-Atlantic aspirations of the society.

Kosovo is a country created on civilized Euro-Atlantic values and inviolable individual freedoms, on respect for diversity and minorities, wrote Thaci. “Kosovo is freer than it ever was and as never before, Kosovars are free to exercise their rights and freedoms, including the right of religion. However, I am concerned that certain individuals are trying to misuse this right by imposing preaching incompatible to our national and civilized values”, said Thaci further.

He added that hatred towards minorities and the tendency to import “foreign phenomena” like anti-Semitism and religious radicalism will be opposed by all legal and state capacities. “Enemies of democracy and western civilized values will not find a haven on our country’s soil – this is my promise and I believe of the entire Kosovo democratic leadership”, highlighted Thaci.
