Representatives of the foreign embassies in Kosovo, stated that they expect the Constitutional Court to offer clarity on its decision in order to avoid extraordinary elections.

They consider that holding of extraordinary elections would have been a major loss for Kosovo. They also expressed concern that the new elections would produce acceptable results under current atmosphere. Ian Cliff, Ambassador of the United Kingdom in Kosovo, was skeptical that the recent success of the elections could be repeated. “Holding of new elections is one of the possibilities however I personally and my Government consider that it is not good for this to happen, because it would take much time. Kosovo has a lot to do, such as dialogue with Serbia, then Kosovo would also loose in relation to the Stabilization Association Agreement and many other processes,” said Cliff for Koha Ditore.
