Kosovo President Atifete Jahjaga today has called on members of the Kosovo Assembly to find a solution to the political deadlock. Jahjaga said the functioning of the Assembly would also help the fight against crime and corruption. “We need to create the new institutions as soon as possible and it is up to members of the Assembly to display readiness for untying the knot and for making way for the adoption of a number of laws that will help the fight against corruption and organized crime,” Jahjaga said at a roundtable organized by the Institute for Justice in Pristina. Jahjaga also said that Kosovo institutions were ready to confront all those that pose a threat to national security. “We are constantly proving that we have built sufficient and professional capacities to combat serious threats against our national security,” she added.
