VLAN not to collect signatures for calling Assembly’s session this week

(Most monitored broadcasters, TV21&KTV)

In case that Flora Brovina will not call continuation of the Assembly constitutive session this week than the LDK-AAK-Nisma and Vetëvendosje (VLAN) bloc will neither call it by collecting signatures.

VLAN representatives called on PDK to reflect and as they said, to give up from invasion of institutions.

AAK leader Ramush Haradinaj called on PDK to accept the fact that it does not have the required numbers at the Assembly.

Haradinaj said that Brovina should call the session and ask the MPs to find a solution for the political deadlock, TV21 reported. He emphasized that Kosovo President Atifete Jahjaga should play her role in this regard and guarantee functioning of state institutions.

LDK MP Ismet Beqiri said that the bloc will have this week at disposal for further consultations.

The Bloc considers that the solution should be found at the Assembly and the only way to do this is the Point 127 of Constitutional Court’s verdict, which, according to them, allows identification of a solution by the MPs.

Brovina does not know when next Assembly session will be held

(TV21)

Chairperson of the Kosovo Assembly’s constitutive session Flora Brovina said that she does not know when the next session will continue; however, Brovina pledged that this will happen at the earliest time possible.

She told Telegrafi portal that she does not have a date on her mind about when continuation of constitutive session of the Assembly is expected to happen, and that she will inform the public about this matter in due time.

In the meantime, Rrustem Mustafa of PDK does not consider continuation of the Assembly constitutive session necessary without reaching an agreement with parties of VLAN bloc.

According to the former KLA commander Mustafa, the Assembly Speaker’s post belongs only to PDK.

Leposavic/Leposaviq village residents want to join Serbia

(RTK2)

Residents of Leshak, the Serb village of Leposavic/Leposaviq in northern Kosovo with about 6.000 people, started the initiative to join Serbia, as they were until 1959.

“We have nothing in common or we ever had with Kosovo and Prishtinë/Pristina. Even today, we do not have anything common with them. Raska is located 15 kilometres away from us, while Prishtinë/Pristina is 150 kilometres,” said Zivojin Stanic, retired professor from Leshak and one of the advocates for separation from Kosovo.
