A few hundred Albanians gathered last night in the southern part of Mitrovica, in support to the Albanian football team, after the football match between Serbia and Albania ended. Albanians chanted “Albania, Albania” and used some pyrotechnic products. At the same time, on the other side of the bridge, in North Mitrovica, Serbs gathered to watch what was happening. The head of Kosovo Police Operations, Zeljko Bojic, said in a statement to Radio Kontakt Plus that the tensions lasted only briefly, and there were no incidents.
