OSCE holds conference on durable solutions for displaced persons from Kosovo

(RTK2)

A two-day conference organized by the OSCE Mission in Kosovo for high-level representatives of Belgrade, Podgorica, Prishtinë/Pristina and Skopje governments started on Thursday at 17:00hrs in Skopje. The aim of the conference is to identifydurable solutions for displaced persons, RTK2 reported.

In an interview with RTK2, Kosovo Minister for Communities and Returns, Dalibor Jevtic, welcomed the high-level representation in this conference to discuss the issue of IDPs from Kosovo.

Asked if regional cooperation happened on the issue of IDPs prior to this conference, Jevtic said that on several occasions he had stressed the need for cooperation on both the political and technical levels. He added that there was cooperation with the Macedonian and Montenegrin governments, but not the official cooperation with the Serbian government.

He welcomed the decision of the Director of Serbian Office for Kosovo, Marko Djuric, to take part in this conference.

Jevtic voiced his dissatisfaction with the process of return in Kosovo, since, according to him, only ten per cent of IDPs have returned so far. Minister Jevtic stated that he looks very much forward to conclusions and recommendations of this conference.
