Kosovo Assembly refuses to debate on situation in FYROM (Koha)

Head of Vetevendosje’s parliamentary group, Glauk Konjufca, presented today at the Assembly session the proposal to discuss the recent developments in the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM). However the proposal was not approved by the MPs with 50 being against the debate, 28 in favour and five abstaining.

Head of Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) parliamentary group, Adem Grabovci, said the party is noty against the debate but added that more information as to what actually transpired in Kumanovo is needed before discussing the issue. The same view was echoed by Ismet Beqiri from the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK).

Konjufca said the position of the ruling coalition partners, PDK and LDK, is hypocrisy. Head of Alliance for Future of Kosovo (AAK) group, Donika Kadaj-Bujupi agreed w. She said today is the day the Assembly of Kosovo should debate on “the excessive violence” used by FYROM police. Kadaj-Bujupi also suggested the Kosovo Interior Minister, Skender Hyseni, report to the Assembly on the information he has of events in Kumanovo, FYROM.
