Only one application has been submitted so far for the prosecutors’ post in North Mitrovica following the vacancy published in accordance with the agreement on judiciary. The deadline for applications expires on 25 May.
Prosecutorial and Judicial councils of Kosovo have published vacancies on 25 March for Serb prosecutors and judges, 15 prosecutors and 48 judges, with conditions such as that the applicant has to be ‘the citizen of Kosovo’ and to have a valid university diploma recognized by Kosovo laws.
Agreement on judiciary and integration of Serb prosecutors and judges in the Kosovo judiciary was signed on 10 February. So far judges, prosecutors and court support staff refused to comment on the agreement and whether they will integrate in the Kosovo judiciary.
