Kosovo President Atifete Jahjaga said on Friday that Kosovo will take care of women, adhering to tell their story because shame is not on them but on those who committed the crime. “This is only the first step and we are left with much to do,” she said. Jahjaga made these comments during the opening of the giant art installation, with thousands of dresses hung on washing lines in a tribute to survivors of sexual violence during the 1999 conflict in Kosovo.
