The Diocese of Raska-Prizren and Kosovo-Metohija has strongly condemned the recent incident on the unfinished Temple of Christ the Savior in the centre of Pristina. The Diocese called on protection of the religious and human rights of its believers, as well protection of the places of worship.
Pristina media have published a photo showing the two men who are climbing up the walls of the church of Christ the Savior with the ropes. The Diocese argued that this presents desecration of a religious facility. “Temple of Christ the Savoir was erected to serve for prayer and every kind of abuse of this facility by ill-intended persons is an attempt of desecration. This act also is a shame of the Kosovo society and institutions, which despite several demands didn’t approve police protection of the facility,” reads the statement of the Diocese of Raska –Prizren and Kosovo-Metohija.
