Creation of the Association/Community of Serb municipalities (A/CSM) is internal obligation of Kosovo and Serbia should not interfere, claims political analyst Azem Vlasi.

Vlasi said that there are no obstacles for reaching an agreement on telecommunication since it was said earlier that Kosovo should have its own area code, whereas when it comes to energy it is only about pure economic and financial relations.

When it comes to Association/Community of Serb municipalities Vlasi argues that it is Kosovo’s obligation as stipulated by the Brussels’ Agreement and Serbia should not interfere.

“Implementation of the so far reached agreements should not be linked with the Association of Serb municipalities. For Serbs in Kosovo most important thing so far is participation in elections and winning of local self-governments in municipalities where they are majority,” said Vlasi and added that A/CSM will bring certain benefits to Serbs, however it is not ‘to be or not to be’ topic as Belgrade portrays it.
