The Trepca miners today announced that they if Kosovo Prime Minister Isa Mustafa doesn’t take any action regarding Trepca, they would continue their strike which they suspended in late January this year. “The strike that was suspended in January might as well continue again. We demand solving Trepca’s status and approving the law on Trepca,” said Trepca’s director, Qazim Jashari. Jashari said that resolving the status of Trepca, would enable the increase in production, consequently the increase of the salaries of the miners who are looking for a 10 percent raise. Kosovo government Spokesperson Arban Abrashi said that the competent authorities during this period have taken some action. According to him, several more months of consultation are needed to compile the strategy, and after that it comes the law on Trepca.
