Four days after the first protests in support to detained leader of the Civic Initiative SDP Oliver Ivanović and retired Serbian police colonel Dragoljub Delibašić in North Mitrovica, the second one will take place tomorrow at 10:00 at the same place, in front of the Basic Court.

The Director of the Serbian Government’s Office, Marko Đurić, and chairperson of the Committee for Assistance to Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija of the Republic of Srpska, Milorad Arlov, will join the protests.

Oliver Ivanović has gone on hunger strike on 7 August requesting to be released pending trial. Ivanović and Delibašić are two remaining Serbs who are still in detention after being detained with three other Serbs, who were released pending trial, under charges for committing alleged war crimes. Recent decision of EULEX judge to extend their detention for two more months was made with justification that they could influence witnesses if released.
