Jahjaga to address the Constitutional Court regarding the Kosovo-Serbian agreements (Koha)

The President of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga, will send the content of the Agreement between Pristina and Belgrade for the Association/Community of the Serb majority municipalities to the Constitutional Court.

Top Chanel reliable sources within the government and opposition confirmed that President Jahjaga proposed to their leaders, based on her competencies and due to the created situation, to address the Constitutional Court for explanations regarding the Agreement on Association/Community of the Serb majority municipalities.

Jahjaga will consult once again today in the afternoon the representatives of the government and opposition for their consent to deposit the issue to the Court on Friday, prior to the Assembly session.

The Office of the President did not want to speak about the details of Jahjaga’s proposal, however, they told Top Channel that the President is consulting the parliamentary parties and she is assessing initiation of further steps.

Top Channel has also learned that Embassies of the Quint states support President’s idea of compromise and explains that the Constitutional Court has 60 days to reply.
