Jeremić: Kosovo without two-thirds of votes in UNESCO (KoSSev)

UNESCO General Conference yesterday adopted agenda with Kosovo’s membership proposal, whereas Serbian officials have launched a visible campaign against it few days ahead of the Conference.

However, former Serbian foreign minister and president of the United Nations General Assembly, Vuk Jeremic, argues that tensions with regard to Kosovo’s membership have been created in order that Serbian authorities could present the outcome as a ‘spectacular success’, and added that he doesn’t understand their ‘hysteria’ since there is no two-third majority for Kosovo’s membership in UNESCO. Jeremic voiced optimism with regard to this issue and added that it would be huge failure of Serbian authorities if the opposite would happen
