German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier said today that everything what was agreed in the Brussels must be implemented. At the press conference with Serbian PM Aleksandar Vucic, Steinmeier said: “What has been agreed in Brussels should be implemented and I haven’t heard any statement claiming opposite. The work on the establishing of Community of Serb municipalities must be continued.” The progress in the normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina has been decisive factor for the EC and the EU to give a positive signal for the opening of chapters. Steinmeier said that there are things which should be additionally clarified when it comes to the Statute of the A/CSM.
At the conference Vučić said that Serbia will continue talks with Pristina, but that the A/CSM is the core of the Brussels agreement. “I don’t want to say anything bad, but I hope that Pristina will succeed in reaching stability and will decide on the establishment of the A/CSM. We are ready for continuation of the dialogue and we are ready to go to Brussels to talk with Albanian colleagues,” he said.
