The Mayor of North Mitrovica and chairperson of the municipal council of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) in North Mitrovica, Goran Rakić, stated today that almost all local councilors of the Citizens’ Initiative SDP of Oliver Ivanović in North Mitrovica and Zvečan decided to join the ranks of the SNS.
“On behalf of the municipal council of SNS in Kosovska Mitrovica, with great pleasure I would like to inform the public opinion, that almost all local councilors in Kosovska Mitrovica and Zvečan municipalities have left the ranks of the Citizens’ Initiative SDP of Oliver Ivanović, on their own will and joined the SNS,” Rakić said in a communique.
Oliver Ivanović, the leader of the CI SDP, has been sentenced by EULEX judges to nine years in jail for war crimes in January 2016.
