Local councilors from the ranks of the Civic Initiative ‘Srpska’ on Monday boycotted the address of the councilor Ksenija Božović, from the ranks of the Civic Initiative SDP, and left the regular session of the local assembly of Mitrovica North.
Božović was supposed to present her stance about the one of the topics of a daily agenda in relation to the Rules and Regulations of the local assembly, however councilors from the CI ‘Srpska’ prevented it by leaving the session, after what the chairperson, Dejan Gurešić, said that session is canceled due to the lack of quorum.
Božović later said that such behavior of councilors are violating her rights, right of a counselor, her woman’s right, human rights and right on the free speech. She went on to say that she did not receive any explanation why she was boycotted at the previous session as well, and added that she expects relevant institutions to deal with this issue.
