Leader of the Citizens’ Initiative SDP Oliver Ivanović says that he was arrested in order to have some “recognizable” Kosovo Serb charged with war crimes, but also for EULEX to improve its reputation among Albanians.
On the eve of today’s hearing on the appeal against the verdict which sentenced Ivanovic to nine years in prison for war crimes, he told the daily Informer that his arrest should be viewed in light of “the great dissatisfaction of the Albanians” due to the formation of the Special Court for war crimes.
