Delawie: Terrific news for Kosovo (Klan Kosova)

The U.S. Ambassador to Kosovo, Greg Delawie, supported endorsement of the new Law on Execution of Pnal Sanctions, considering it a concrete step in the war against corruption. “The Assembly took a concrete step to fight corruption today by passing the Law on Execution of Penal Sanctions. Terrific news!” Delawie wrote on his Twitter account.

Delawie: Education a key to prevention of violent extremism (RTK)

The U.S. Ambassador to Kosovo, Greg Delawie, said today that violent extremism derived from dissatisfied, unemployed youth, who lacked the feeling of belonging, are now exploiting social media to add to their number, making the fear spread in a chain manner.

Speaking at a round table organized in Gjakova,  by Women’s Initiative in Kosovo, Delawie said “violent extremists spread stories, messages and ideology to attract individuals but also communities into their orbit.”

Leaders of Kosovo institutions and foreign diplomats presented today in Gracanica the Kosovo Credit Guarantee Fund. Small and medium sized businesses are expected to gain an easier access to loans after the establishment of the Credit Guarantee Fund, which enables more favorable loans for them.

The Fund, which is a local, independent and sustainable institution, will issue partial guarantees for loans to the financial institutions, increasing in this manner access for micro and medium sized enterprises.
