Optical cable cut during airing of TV show with mayoral candidates (KoSSev portal)

According to KoSSev news portal, on October 16, at about 20:45, a TV show, aired by the private cable operator “CD KiM” from Zvečan (Žerovnica village) was interrupted, because the optic cable was cut. At that time, this local TV station was broadcasting a pre-recorded show, in which four mayoral candidates took part: Oliver Ivanović, Dragiša Milović, Dragan Jablanović and Slaviša Biševac.

Brnabic: I plan to visit Kosovo (Beta, Blic)

Serbian Prime Minister, Ana Brnabic, said on Friday she plans to visit Kosovo, Serbian media reported.

In a statement to TV Prva, while presenting the work of the government for the first 100 days, Brnabic mentioned this possibility without giving precise date.

The PM Brnabic, also mentioned that Brussels has welcomed an internal dialogue on Kosovo, Serbian President Vucic initiated, adding it was assessed as an indicator of a responsible and brave politics, Serbian media reported.

Some villages in Gora without electricity for four days (Kontakt plus radio)

Villages of Orcusa, Globocica, Zli Potok, Krusevo and Restelica are without electricity for four days due to the failure of electrical supply system, caused by the snow in Gora Mountain, Kontakt plus radio reported today.

Nazim Mehmedi, coordinator for the co-operation with the media stated to Kontakt plus radio that inhabitants of these villages are disturbed as the breakdown of the electricity supply has caused damage.

He added that food prepared for the wintertime is rotten as well as items they had in their freezers.

Staff members from Vitina returned to work (KoSSev portal, KIM Radio)

Two staff members of the Interim Body of Vitina municipality, functioning within the system of the Republic of Serbia, Goran Marinkovic and Aleksandar Rakic, dismissed at the end of September, have returned to their working places, Marinkovic confirmed to KoSSev portal.

Marinkovic and Rakic, due to dismissal and alleged threats and intimidations, together with citizens, supporting the Active Civic Initiative, more than ten days have blocked the municipal building, Serbian media further reported.

Brnabic: Election of working group for internal dialogue on Kosovo to happen soon (Tanjug, RTS)

Serbian Prime Minister, Ana Brnabic announced that the Government of Serbia would very soon choose a group responsible to offer logistic support to the Serbian President Vucic during the internal dialogue on Kosovo, Serbian media reported.

Nis-Pristina highway construction "to start next year" (B92)

Works to build the first section of the Nis-Merdare-Pristina highway - from Nis to Plocnik - will begin next year, B92 reported.

This is according to a plan of the Serbian Government and the European Investment banks (EIB), Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic said on Wednesday.

According to the Serbian Government, Mihajlovic said this as she met with Director of the EIB for the Western Balkans Dubravka Negre, and "pointed out the importance of the so-called highway of peace."

Prosecution in Djakovica rejected complaint for demolishing memorial plaque to Slavuj and Perenic (Kontakt plus radio)

Basic prosecution office in Djakovica rejected complaint and due to lack of evidence decided not to launch a criminal proceeding against unknown perpetrators, who in May 2016 on the way Zociste-Velika Hoca, demolished memorial plaque dedicated to the journalists, Djuro Slavuj and Ranko Perenic, Association of Journalists of Serbia said, Kontakt plus radio reported.

Families of victims from Kosovo want “March of Truth and Justice” until “Yellow house” (SRNA, Kontakt plus radio)

Association of Families of Kidnapped and Murdered Persons in Kosovo requested from KFOR and EULEX to enable them security during “March of Truth and Justice” from Merdare crossing point to the “Yellow house” in Albania, where kidnapped Serbs from Kosovo were murdered, Serbian media reported.

Its press statement further said this was relation where their beloved once were kidnapped, torched and murdered, and the aim of the march is to point out impunity of crimes committed against Serbs.
