Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic met on Tuesday with Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia Sem Fabrizi.
Fabrizi presented the Report of the European Commission on Serbia’s progress in the process of EU accession, the Serbian government announced on its website.
Prime Minister Ana Brnabic took part on Wednesday in a meeting of the group "New Leaders for Europe" within the World Economic Forum in Davos.
The Serbian government announced this, quoting Brnabic as saying that "the Balkans needs Europe, but that the Balkans is also needed by Europe."
Brnabic said that European integration of the countries of the Western Balkans is an important factor for the future of the region.
Prime Minister Ana Brnabic has said in a radio interview with The Economist that 2018 is a year in which a lasting solution for Kosovo could be found.
"What we are doing now is looking for a lasting solution, so as not to leave a frozen conflict for those who will come afterward. We have a historic chance to find a sustainable solution. If we do not use this chance in 2018 we will not have another one for decades to come," Beta quoted Brnabic as telling the Economist.
Serbian Prime Minister, Ana Brnabic said Serbian judges and prosecutors did not take an oath before the Kosovo President, Hashim Thaci, but gave special, neutral statement, TV N1 reported.
After the alleged statement of the oath was shared on the social networks mentioned that judges swore on the Kosovo Constitution and the oath was not neutral, PM Brnabic expressed her opinion on Twitter.
“In order for you to have accurate information, our judges did not take an oath, but gave special, status neutral statement. The truth matters,” PM wrote.
Serbian Prime Minister, Ana Brnabic, said on Friday she plans to visit Kosovo, Serbian media reported.
In a statement to TV Prva, while presenting the work of the government for the first 100 days, Brnabic mentioned this possibility without giving precise date.
The PM Brnabic, also mentioned that Brussels has welcomed an internal dialogue on Kosovo, Serbian President Vucic initiated, adding it was assessed as an indicator of a responsible and brave politics, Serbian media reported.
Aleksandar Vucic on Friday announced that the government will discuss "creating technical conditions for the internal dialogue on Kosovo" at its next session.
The Serbian president said that he "spoke with Prime Minister Ana Brnabic and that the government would provide full logistics for the dialogue, and form working groups," Beta reported.
“Spain is grateful to the Government of Serbia because it did not bring up that issue, as the President Aleksandar Vucic already explained,” stated Spanish Ambassador to Serbia, Miguel Fuertes Suarez.
The Spanish Ambassador made these remarks while commenting the information that Belgrade, following the plea of his country, postponed sending the letter to Brussels, asking for further explanation on the EU stance that Kosovo and Catalonia are incomparable, daily writes further.
Serbian President, Aleksandar Vucic, would not give up sending the letter to the European Union and member states that have recognized unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo, regardless of huge pressure exercised on him, Novosti daily reports today.
Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic says he is awaiting the reaction of the EU and those who said that Kosovo is a special case.
Dacic, who also serves as the first deputy PM, asked whether Presevo - a town and area in the southern part of central Serbia inhabited by ethnic Albanians - was now also "a special case."
"When it comes to Serbia, it's about special cases all the way," he remarked.
Dacic called on the EU to make "a concrete statement" on the topics that concern Serbia and the Serb people.
Serbian Prime Minister, Ana Brnabic announced that the Government of Serbia would very soon choose a group responsible to offer logistic support to the Serbian President Vucic during the internal dialogue on Kosovo, Serbian media reported.
