The Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) MP Vjosa Osmani said that creation of Kosovo Armed Forces does not depend on the Serbian List MPs. “If we want an army, we can do this in a day. A name does not make an army but the weaponry, number, function, and competencies”, she said.
A meeting between Serbian political representatives, ministers in the Government of Kosovo, Deputy PM, MPs and mayors of all ten municipalities with Serbian majority in Kosovo was held in Mitrovica North, with the aim to achieve a general consensus on the proposed law on the census in northern Kosovo. The caucus whip of the Serbian List in the Kosovo Parliament, Slavko Simić, yesterday requested from the Kosovo government to abolish the administrative direction that provides additional conditions for Kosovo residents fulfilling criteria for pension and social welfare.
A communique issued by the Serbian List states that the administrative direction issued by the Ministry for Labor and Social Welfare violates the law because such decisions have to be adopted by the parliament.
