Gazeta Blic’s editor-in-chief, Adrian Collaku, writes that the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, seems to feel quite comfortable in his new post and finds it of little importance whether his is on the side of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), or the Kosovo Intelligence Service (SHIK), both of which he used to accuse in the past of capturing and controlling Kosovo. If Mustafa previously had no evidence of a captured state, he now has, writes Collaku.

President Jahjaga again in the field (Gazeta Blic)

After a short break, Kosovo’s President Atifete Jahjaga continued today with her visits to Kosovo municipalities to talk to the people. Today she has decided to visit village Krushe e Madhe and Rahovec/Orahovec. The President’s Office for the media informed that Jahjaga will visit Krushe a Madhe during the morning hours, and she will be in Rahovec/Orahovec in the afternoon. Jahjaga visited other cities of Kosovo a few days ago, in order to convince people not to leave Kosovo.

Mustafa pledges: Thaci, the President of Kosovo in 2016 (Gazeta Blic)

The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, stated today that the current Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hashim Thaci, is expected to become the President of Kosovo next year. Mustafa said during a press conference that the Democratic League of Kosovo will respect the agreement with the Democratic Party of Kosovo, adding that Thaci will become the President of Kosovo in 2016.

Hyseni: Irregular migration, adventure that will soon end (Gazeta Blic)

Kosovo Minister of Internal Affairs Skender Hyseni said that all those who have irregularly migrated to Europe will be returned to Kosovo while the government is very limited in funds to help those returning. Hyseni said he had many meetings with counterparts from different European countries, all of whom stressed that their respective countries will not be granting asylum status to the people from Kosovo. He said the irregular migration is an adventure whose near end will only result in making people even poorer.

AAK does not support draft law for special court (Gazeta Blic)

Donika Kadaj Bujupi, Head of the Parliamentary Group of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), stated that Assembly’s chairmanship did not discuss at its meeting today  inclusion of the discussions for the special court in the agenda of Kosovo Assembly. However, she added that her party will not support the draft law for the special court, “because it is harmful for Kosovo.” According to her, Serbia and not Kosovo committed genocide in Kosovo. The next Assembly session will be held on Thursday.

Mustafa: Visa liberalization in 2015 (Gazeta Blic)

Prime Minister Isa Mustafa said that Kosovo will be granted visa liberalization regime during 2015. In a meeting of the steering committee on visa liberalization, Mustafa reaffirmed that the issue remains a priority for the government of Kosovo. “Among other things, this process also depends on our engagement and dynamics in implementing the remaining criteria regarding the negotiation and signing of repatriation agreements with certain countries,” said PM Mustafa.

Mustafa: Migration to be prevented by opening new jobs (Gazeta Blic)

Kosovo Prime Minister Isa Mustafa, said on Friday that the issue of irregular migration should be prevented by opening new jobs. "Irregular migration is a painful reality and in this regard we need to take quick measures. We will work to open new jobs and improve the welfare of Kosovo citizens,” said Mustafa. During the meeting of the Steering Committee on visa liberalization, Mustafa announced that the government of Kosovo next week will approve the Governance Program, that will contribute on Kosovo’s economic development.

Lunacek’s upcoming reports to European Parliament (Gazeta Blic)

The upcoming report of the European Parliament’s rapporteur for Kosovo, Ulrike Lunacek, states that despite the progress made by Kosovo authorities, Pristina needs to step up its fight against traffickers who are enabling people of Kosovo to migrate to EU countries. The report calls on Kosovo authorities to clearly explain to the people that there is almost no possibility of them acquiring the asylum status in the EU. The report, to be voted by the European Parliament, also expresses concern over the high level of unemployment in Kosovo, especially amongst the youth.

Krlic’s complaint vain, there was no violation (Gazeta Blic)

Former deputy director of the Office for Kosovo at Serbian Government, Mirko Krlic, complained that EULEX did not allow him to enter Kosovo without permission from Kosovo authorities. He complained to EULEX claiming that border police of this mission violated freedom of religion and freedom of movement, however this was not observed by the Panel for Human Rights and Freedoms.
