Demiri claims that Ministry of Local Government was promised to Group 6+ (gazetaexpress)

Rasim Demiri, Deputy of the non-Serb minority communities, Group 6+, claims that representatives of the PDK-LDK coalition have promised to give them Ministry of Local Government.

Demiri stated for Express that this will be finalized today, after the meeting of the working groups of this coalition.

PDK and LDK power-sharing agreement to be announced in the coming days (Gazeta Blic, Gazeta Express)

Coalition partners, Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) and Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), namely the parties’ working groups, are set to meet today and agree on division of ministerial posts. According to Gazeta Blic, it is almost certain and that the agreement will be reached before Wednesday when the PDK leader, Hashim Thaci, is to travel to New York to attend the UN Security Council session.

LDK’s Hyseni to head Kosovo delegation in talks with Belgrade (Gazeta Express)

Skender Hyseni, a member of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) and former Minister for Foreign Affairs, is expected to lead the Kosovo delegation in talks with Belgrade in Brussels. Unidentified sources told the news website that Hyseni however would not get the post of Minister of Foreign Minister. “Both parties [the LDK and the Democratic Party of Kosovo – PDK] have agreed to the proposal for Hyseni to lead the dialogue,” a senior LDK official said.

Shkelzen Maliqi, political analyst and current political adviser for regional affairs to the Albanian Prime Minister, considers that the goals and capacities of the new government of Kosovo will depend on whether new uncompromised names or the old compromised ones will be engaged. The paper claims to have learnt the name of women that will be part of the new government from the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK). A senior PDK official said that the new cabinet will include Dhurata Sadiku-Hoxha, current advisor to Hashim Thaci, Mrika Tahiri, former director of the Privatisation Agency of Kosovo, Laura Zherka, member of PDK presidency, Mrika Kotorri from Thaci’s cabinet, former Energy Minister, Justina Shiroka Pula, and PDK deputy leader, Margarita Kadriu.

Mustafa: LDK will lead the government (Gazeta Express)

Isa Mustafa, leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), writes on his Facebook account today: “Last night, after lengthy discussions and taking into account the situation in the country, we agreed in principle with Mr. Hashim Thaci, leader of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, to reach a coalition agreement for the new government. The government will be led by the LDK and responsibilities will be divided equally on all levels. Present at the discussions were the President of Kosovo and the United States Ambassador.

The leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK,) tried these days to send AAK, Vetevendosje and Nisma to opposition, by reaching an agreement with PDK. In order to reach this, he plans “to gain support” of the General Council of his party today. However, his partners decoded this game.

While Isa Mustafa is making his last efforts to give a deadly blow to the coalition block, through some minor games at the General Council of his party,  his former partners have undertaken concrete measures to push him towards opposition.

Krasniqi warns coalition block: No party should mention Prime Minister’s post (gazetaexpress)

Jakup Krasniqi Chairman of the National Council of the Initiative for Kosovo (NISMA,) commented the ambitions of the Democratic League of Kosovo to take over the post of the Prime Minister. According to Krasniqi no one should mention the post of the Prime Minister, being that this post would belong to coalition block VLAN.

Serbian police disburses radicals against Edi Rama (gazetaexpress)

Forces of the Serbian police were extremely mobilized and alert towards eventual incidents in Belgrade. The entire motorway which leads from the Airport to the Serbian Palace, where PM Rama was hosted by Pm Vucic, was covered by blue uniforms.
A minor protest of some 100 people in front of the Serbian government was also violently disbursed by the police. It appears that all Serbian authorities are so far preoccupied in avoiding incidents.
