Brnabic: I don't expect anything good from courts in Kosovo (BETA, Tanjug, B92)

Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic says she doesn't expect Kosovo courts to deal with war crimes cases they have taken over from EULEX in a serious manner.

Speaking in Belgrade on Monday, Brnabic said that political leaders in Pristina are preventing Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija from achieving their basic human rights.

Brnabic: Serbia committed to region, Pristina does not respect agreements (Tanjug, B92)

Serbian Prime Minster Ana Brnabic said Serbia remains committed to integrated and stable region, Tanjug news agency reported.

She added, however it is not fair to insist on signing the other agreements, while Pristina does not respect some of the fundamental regional agreements. She made these remarks following the meeting with EU Enlargement Commissioner Johannes Hahn, adding that the main topics discussed were Serbia’s EU path and its work in relation to the reforms and regional connecting and cooperation.

Brnabic: It is not time yet for Serbia’s response to Pristina’s platform (FoNet, Danas)

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said it is not time yet for Serbia’s stance and response to the Pristina’s platform on negotiations with Belgrade, FoNet news agency reported.

Brnabic told journalists in Belgrade, it is needed to hear stances of the international actors first, foremost that of Brussels, which is a guarantor of the agreement and a dialogue.

She added Brussels said nothing regarding the latest situation and considers it as improper as well as expects EU reaction.

 

Brnabic on Pristina platform: Third and final blow, contrary to common sense (Tanjug, B92)

The Pristina platform (for the dialogue with Belgrade) is the third and final blow to the dialogue, PM Ana Brnabic told reporters on Friday in Belgrade. She spoke after a meeting of the Council for National Security. Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic convened the meeting after the adoption of this platform.

The prime minister added that this document is contrary to common sense, and that the reaction of Serbia will, "as always, be measured."

Brnabic: Serbia grateful for Italy's unequivocal support (Serbian Government, B92)

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic received in Belgrade on Wednesday Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte, who was on a one-day visit to Serbia. According to the Serbian Government, she "expressed the wish during the talks that economic cooperation between the two countries, as the most developed part of the overall relations, be further improved."

PM Brnabic comments on Haradinaj’s statement on visit to Pristina (Tanjug, B92)

Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic commented on Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj’s statement on her visit to Pristina, saying it serves to “throw the dust into the eyes of EU and USA,” Tanjug news agency reported.

She added Haradinaj is doing everything to prevent continuation of dialogue. Brnabic also noted she received no invitation for the meeting, that according to Haradinaj should take place at the beginning of April.

Brnabic: Statements from Pristina have no links with reality (Tanjug, RTS)

Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said the statements of Pristina authorities that Kosovo would get three central Serbia municipalities have no links with reality and common sense, RTS reports.

She told them to try to get back to reality and understand what the rules of behavior in XXI century are.

Berlin wants Pristina tariffs to be revoked, German Ambassador Schieb says (BETA, TV N1)

Berlin would continue to insist that Pristina immediately revokes the 100 percent tariffs imposed on the goods from Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina, German Ambassador in Belgrade Thomas Schieb told Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic, BETA news agency reported.

According to the Serbian Government press statement Brnabic expressed her gratitude for the consistent position of Germany on this issue and underlined that the abolition of tariffs is a precondition for the continuation of negotiations between Belgrade and Pristina.

PM to attend marking of Serbian Statehood Day in Brussels (Serbian Government, B92)

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic will visit Brussels on Wednesday, the Serbian Government has announced. In Brussels, Brnabic will address an official reception marking the Statehood Day of the Republic of Serbia.

The holiday was celebrated on February 15.

According to the government, during the visit, the prime minister will meet with First Vice President of the European Commission Frans Timmermans and European Commissioner for Justice, Consumer Affairs and Gender Equality Vera Jourova.
