“Resolution of Kosovo and Metohija crucial for Serbia” (B92)

Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic, who takes part in the Web-Summit in Lisbon spoke with German ARD journalist Marcus Price. While discussing political topics, the PM Brnabic said that for Serbia resolution of Kosovo and Metohija issue is crucial.

She noted Serbia remains committed to finding a compromise solution in dialogue with Pristina, adding that stability in the region is also important.

Brnabic underlined that EU membership is Serbia’s strategic aim.

Austrian chancellor visits Belgrade, met with Vucic, Brnabic (BETA, Tanjug, B92)

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic spoke on Monday in Belgrade with Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz, the Serbian government announced on its website.

They discussed "bilateral and economic cooperation between the two countries, the European integration of integration of Serbia and the current situation in the region."

Brnabic "expressed her gratitude to Austria for the support it provides to Serbia in the process of European integration and the opening of new chapters and expressed the belief that this support will continue in the future."

PM Brnabic met with US Congressman Ted Toe, discuss Kosovo, economic cooperation (B92, Serbian media)

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic spoke on Friday in Belgrade with Co-Chair of the Serbian Caucus at the US Congress Ted Poe, B92 reports.

They touched on the current political situation and the continuation of economic cooperation, the Serbian government announced.

Branbic thanked Poe for good cooperation so far and stressed that it is important for Serbia to have the support of the United States of America to continue the negotiations between Belgrade and Pristina.

Brnabic: "Red lines" are not helpful (Tanjug, B92)

Belgrade is ready for a compromise with Pristina, but at this moment it is still far away, Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said, Tanjug news agency reported.

Brnabic also noted that those from the outside should not speak about “red lines” before hearing about a possible agreement between the two sides.

The Belgrade-Pristina dialogue is already difficult, complex and emotional and it makes no sense to additionally draw some “red lines,” she added.

“Brnabic spoke with Thaci” (Tanjug, B92, Belta)

Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic spoke on the margins of the Munich Security Conference in Minsk with Kosovo President Hashim Thaci, B92 reports, referring to the Belorussian news agency Belta.

According to the agency, Serbian Prime Minister Brnabic told the journalists they spoke about Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, and she expressed hope the two sides would manage to reach a compromise solution, that would lead towards better stability in the region.

 

 

"Serbia needs EU as strong, stable partner in region" (Serbian Government, B92)

Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic spoke on Monday in Belgrade with Chairman of the EP Committee for Stabilization and Association of the EU and Serbia Eduard Kukan, B92 reports.

According to the Serbian government, Brnabic told Kukan that membership in the Union is Serbia's strategic goal, but that reform measures should first of all be to contribute to the progress of the state and to the better life of its citizens.

Brnabic: Germany’s red lines are burdening negotiation process (KoSSev)

Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic was the only speaker at the final panel of the 8th Belgrade Security Forum, KoSSev portal reported.

She talked about the „burden“ which „Kosovo represents for the Serbian government“ and assessed that the current frozen conflict in Kosovo is creating „schizophrenic situations“ in the government’s work – as she has to go from a meeting on Serbia’s full membership in CERN, to the meetings during which she listens to the reports on armed threats.

US official tells Serbian PM dialogue important to region (FoNet)

US State Department official Mathew Palmer told Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic that the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue is important to the stability of the region, FoNet news agency reported.

He said Washington firmly believes that the dialogue is important to maintain peace and stability in the Western Balkans, Serbian Government press release said.
