President Vladimir Putin’s visit, at the invitation of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, in January next year, is a great honor for Serbia.
Prime Minister Ana Brnabic assessed this in Tuesday's meeting with Ambassador of Russia to Serbia Aleksandr Chepurin, held in Belgrade.
Serbian Prime Minister, Ana Brnabic thinks that Minister of Defense adequately reacted to the statement of US Ambassador to Serbia Kyle Scott, who earlier said that Kosovo is an independent state, Tanjug news agency reported.
PM Brnabic added that Ambassador’s Scott statement is scandalous and inappropriate.
“This is inappropriate, not only in diplomacy, but also represents a disrespect of the host, given that the statement was made in the building of the Government of Serbia,” Brnabic told journalists.
Announcements of establishing Kosovo army, under that or some other name, is something that causes fear and anxiety, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said, adding he hopes for some sort of Belgrade-Pristina dialogue continuation in order to decrease tension because of such things, Tanjug news agency reported.
Vucic made these remarks responding to the journalist’s question to comment on Pristina announcements they would make a decision this week on forming the army, either with that or some other name.
Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic told representatives of Pristina authorities to stop talking about Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, Tanjug news agency reported.
She noted it should be spoken about how we could reach a compromise that would enable long-term normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina.

According to the Belgrade press, in a brief conversation with Prime Minister Ana Brnabic, US President Donald Trump has referred to the Serbs as "good people."
Namely, Brnabic thanked the US president for the changing of the stance of the current administration in Washington toward Serbia, and for understanding the position of our country on the issue of Kosovo, and, according to media reports, he replied by saying that "Serbs are good people."

Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic began on Monday her visit to New York, where she will attend the UN General Assembly, by meeting with US Senator Ron Johnson, B92 reports. Johnson is chair of the US Senate Homeland Security Committee and of the Subcommittee on Europe and Regional Security Cooperation.
During the talks, PM Brnabic said she would use her visit to the United States and participation in the general debate at the UN General Assembly to discuss with world leaders Serbia's achievements in political and economic reforms, the Serbian Government announced.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said the Prime Minister Ana Brnabic would most probably go to New York, and attend the UN General Assembly, Tanjug news agency reported.
Vucic made these remarks while visiting the Health Centre in Zemun, adding he is not completely certain, but it is more likely that Ana Brnabic, than him, would travel to New York.
