Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic spoke yesterday in Belgrade with US Senator and the Chair of the US Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee Ron Johnson.

According to the Serbian Government, they spoke about "a European future of Serbia, the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina and regional stability."

Brnabic "expressed her gratitude to Johnson for a constructive US approach to finding a lasting and sustainable solution for Kosovo and Metohija, through the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina."

Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic urged the international community “not to test Serbia’s patience and understanding,” BETA news agency is reporting.

Brnabic underlined that the international community should understand the severity of the situation in Belgrade-Pristina negotiations and act in line with it.

Now is the moment to exit the frozen conflict on the issue of Kosovo and take a path that would be taken by nations that solve problems and thus become victors.

This is what Prime Minister Ana Brnabic has said, in a statement to Tanjug.

At the same time, she urged all actors of political and public life to take a responsible attitude towards this issue, and citizens "to stand with the president of the Republic, in an effort to find a solution for Kosovo and Metohija and for the future of the country."

Leader of People’s Party (NS) Vuk Jeremic commented on Twitter, the statement Prime Minister Ana Brnabic made yesterday that Serbian Government does not have an official stand on Kosovo at this moment, B92 reported.

“A creature, who by set of extraordinary, unfortunate circumstances found herself at the helm of the Serbian Government, dared to say in relation to Kosovo “that we have no official stand on it now.” She recently told German media that “Kosovo used to be Serbia.” Shameless vermin,” Jeremic wrote on his Twitter profile.

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic hosted a ceremony at the US Congress in Washington on Wednesday, the Serbian government announced.

The ceremony was held to mark the anniversary of the 100th anniversary of raising the Serbian flag in front of the White House.

The ceremony was attended by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia Ivica Dacic and numerous guests from political and public life.

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic will be in Washington DC on 25-26 July.

According to the Serbian Government, Dacic will, together with Prime Minister Ana Brnabic, attend a ceremony at US Congress marking 100th anniversary of the raising of the Serbian flag over the White House.

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic met in Tbilisi on Tuesday with Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze at the beginning of her first official visit to that country.

Brnabic, who is the first prime minister of Serbia on an official visit to Georgia, and Bakhtadze said during the talks that the relations of the two countries are good and traditionally friendly and that in the coming period they will work on intensifying cooperation in different areas.

Serbian Foreign Affairs Minister Ivica Dacic said it is important to find a common interest with the USA so they would be ready to support Serbia’s idea to reach a compromise solution on Kosovo, Serbian media reported.

Dacic told TV Prva that next week one century since the Serbian flag was displayed on the White House would be marked and Serbian PM Brnabic would be there, while the USA Vice President Mike Pence and State Secretary Mike Pompeo should also attend the ceremony.

Based on Constitution of Serbia and its laws, the statement Ana Brnabic made to German daily “Velt” that Kosovo was Serbia and if Serbia would continue insisting Kosovo belongs to it a compromise would have not been possible, equals to an act of a high-treason, in particular if it is a Prime Minister of a country making such a statement, opposition Dveri Movement MP Branislav Mihajlovic said, Danas daily reported.

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic stated on Wednesday that a long-term solution to the normalisation of relations with Pristina is in the interest of Serbia.

This is also true of all Serbs and non-Albanians in Kosovo and Metohija, rather than a frozen conflict, the government cited her as saying.

Answering to questions of reporters in Smederevo, Brnabic said that normalization would mean a long-term stability and safety of inhabitants of the province, but also the stability of the region.
