Jevtic: We did not join the government to block it (RTK2, DW)

Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Dalibor Jevtic says for DW that the Serbian List has excellent cooperation with Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj and that more important are everyday life issues from the issues of the status of Kosovo, reports RTK2.

The current Kosovo government has included the issue of the Community/Association of Serb municipalities (ZSO) in its program, and Jevtic expects that next year concrete steps will be taken.

Prime Minister of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, said the continuation of the Pristina-Belgrade dialogue would make no sense it is does not result in mutual recognition. Prime Minister of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, presented before the Assembly today the government’s programme for the next four years saying it encompasses fields such as the rule of law, economic development and employment, Euro-Atlantic integrations and sectorial development. Vulin: Brussels agreement will not be renegotiated (BETA, B92)

Serbian Defense Minister Aleksandar Vulin said today that agreements reached with Pristina in Brussels will not be renegotiated, Serbian media reported.

Vulin added that the Brussels agreement itself would not undergo any changes.

Vulin was visiting the town of Arandjelovac when he was asked by a journalist to comment on Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj's statement that the Community of Serb Municipalities (ZSO) - yet to be formed under the agreement - would be "a non-governmental organization."

Kosovo Assembly approves on principle draft law on religious communities (RFE)

Kosovo Assembly approved in principle draft law on religious freedoms in Kosovo. The new draft law is to replace the present one and recognizes six instead of previous five religious communities. Prime Minister of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, said the legislation has been drafted in line with international conventions and the opinion of the Venice Commission. He also said that this law is one of the conditions for joining UNESCO.
