Police raid Vetevendosje organizational secretary’s house (media)

Most media report that Kosovo Police raided today the house of Vetevendosje organizational secretary, Dardan Molliqaj, after the latter recently told a press conference in Pristina that “arms can be found in my house”. “There are over 300,000 illegal arms in Kosovo. There can be arms even in my house in Beleg, because my relatives were involved in the war, these are arms that they never surrendered.

Štrpce/Shtërpcë : Explosive found in a school (KIM radio)

Members of the regional police units from Uroševac/Ferizaj conducted a search of the Economic and Trade School in Štrpce/Shtërpcë and on this occasion found a larger amount of explosives, reports TV Herc.

The search was conducted due to an info which Kosovo police had, said Kosovo police spokesman for the region of Ferizaj/Uroševac Agim Gashi.

Prosecution confirms police raids and arrests over bomb attack on Assembly (media)

Pristina-based news website Lajmi reports that six activists of the Vetevendosje Movement, have been arrested today over recent violent acts, such as the throwing bombs at the Kosovo Assembly and the Radio Television of Kosovo. Vetevendosje spokesman Frasher Krasniqi is also believed to be among those arrested. According to the news website, relatives of Vetevendosje leader Visar Ymeri are also among those arrested. They were reportedly found with arms and ammunition.

Stojanović: Attack on RTK - a red light for police (KIM radio)

The attack on the building RTK is a red light for the police and all security structures, says Branimir Stojanović and adds that it is important to find the perpetrators "in order to forestall the creation of an atmosphere in which journalists cannot do their job."

Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Branimir Stojanović says that "overall security" in Kosovo is not at satisfactory level.

Vetëvendosje sets off teargas in parliamentary committee meeting (media)

The Kosovo Assembly Committee on Foreign Affairs approved the draft law on ratification of the border demarcation agreement with Montenegro paving the way for the Assembly Presidency to set a plenary session for voting on the bill. Media report however that a member of Vetëvendosje believed to be MP Driton Çaushi set off teargas in the meeting. Despite the incident, the members of the committee approved the draft law.  Shortly after, the Kosovo Police arrested Çaushi in connection to the incident.

Maxhuni: We have prevented terrorist incidents (Kosovapress)

Kosovo Police director general, Shpend Maxhuni, said in his report before the Kosovo Assembly Committee on Internal Affairs, Security and Supervision of the Kosovo Security Force that the security situation in Kosovo is calm and stable. He said the Kosovo Police has made progress in the fight against human trafficking as well as economic crime and corruption. Speaking about the threat of possible terrorist attacks in Kosovo, Maxhuni said: “We have managed to prevent terror incidents in different places.
