Tahiri denies Rakić’s statement: The wall will be removed (Indeksonline)

After the statement of the mayor of Mitrovica North, Goran Rakić, that the concrete wall between north and south Mitrovica will not be demolished but only redesigned with stairs which would be connected to the roundabout that will be built in the northern part, Kosovo’s Minister for Dialogue, Edita Tahiri, told Indeksonline that the wall will be removed. “It is a wall that appeared illegally. All institutions, the government and opposition are against this wall and the logic of walls,” Tahiri said.

Most local news websites covered an interview that Mitrovica North Mayor Goran Rakic gave to Belgrade-based Politika daily newspaper, highlighting his quote that the wall in Mitrovica North will not be demolished. Rakic said the base of the wall will be redesigned with stairs that will be connected to a roundabout that is being built in the north. “Everything will be done in accordance with the project that was defined last year and verified this year,” he noted.

+383 geographic area code assigned to Kosovo (Tanjug)

The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) has assigned the "geographic area" of Kosovo the +383 dialling code pursuant to the Brussels agreement on telecommunications and a formal letter from Serbia.

"This is a historic achievement in the field of telecommunications that strengthens the international entity of Kosovo," the website of the Kosovo government quoted Minister for Dialogue Edita Tahiri as saying.

Kosovo’s Minister without portfolio, Edita Tahiri, said today that the talks in Brussels on justice have been productive. “We are very close to determining the final date for the establishment of a unitary system of justice in the northern part of our state as a result of the Brussels agreement. Implementation of the agreement for justice enables the establishment of unique system of justice in the northern part of Kosovo, where a trial court and prosecution office will soon start functioning in the Mitrovica region,” Tahiri said through a press statement.

Kosovo’s Minister for Dialogue, Edita Tahiri informed through a press release that the parties will not discuss the Association of Serb-majority Municipalities during the new round of the discussions with Serbia which will be held in Brussels tomorrow and a day after.

The parties will discuss justice issues and Kosovo’s telephone prefix. Both parties will also report on the achieved progress in fulfillment of the obligations for implementation of these two agreements.

Tahiri: Kosovo to get dialing prefix on 15 December (RTK)

Kosovo’s Minister for Dialogue and chief negotiator, Edita Tahiri, said at the government’s meeting today that the recent telecommunication agreement reached in Brussels with Serbia ends the activity of illegal telephony operators in Kosovo. Tahiri said Austria has already applied on Kosovo’s behalf to the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and that the dialing prefix of +383 will be granted to Kosovo on 15 December.
