Haradinaj: Security situation in Kosovo, stable (Klan Kosova)

Prime Minister of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, said that the security situation in Kosovo is stable. “All rule of law and security mechanisms confirm that the security situation in the country is stable and calm,” Haradinaj said adding that the recent murder of the Kosovo Serb political leader, Oliver Ivanovic, is being treated with seriousness by relevant institutions. Haradinaj also said that the weekend visit of the Serbian President, Aleksandar Vucic, was peaceful and that Kosovo showed it can live up to its responsibilities.

Former EU envoy for Kosovo, Wolfgang Petritsch said in an interview for the Vienna-based Die Presse paper that the killing of the Kosovo Serb political leader, Oliver Ivanovic, puts into question the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue. Hoxhaj urges Arab countries to recognise Kosovo (Klan Kosova)

Kosovo’s Deputy Prime Minister, Enver Hoxhaj, thanked Saudi Arabia for support and recognition of Kosovo’s independence but expressed disappointment with the refusal of many Arab countries to follow suit. “When independence of Kosovo was declared, we expected there would be a wave of support and recognitions from Arab and Islamic countries but this did not happen. Klan Kosova: Haradinaj has the highest salary in the region

Klan Kosova reports that the recent salary increase puts Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj at the top of highest-paid prime ministers in the region. Haradinaj’s counterpart in Albania, Edi Rama, for instance earns €1,700 a month while Zoran Zaev from the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM) receives €1,300. Meanwhile, Montenegro Prime Minister Dusko Markovic has a monthly salary of €1,130 whereas Ana Brnabic of Serbia earns €1,000. According to a recent decision signed by Haradinaj, his salary is set to increase from €1,550 to €2,950.

Hoxhaj: Consolidation of Kosovo army not before 2028 (Klan Kosova)
