Roundtables within internal dialogue for first time in Kosovo, Selakovic and Kozarev to participate (KoSSev)

For the first time, roundtables within internal dialogue on Kosovo would be held today and tomorrow in Kosovo, Serbian Government Office for Kosovo and Metohija confirmed to KoSSev portal.

Unlike those organized in Belgrade, participation of the Office for Kosovo Director, Marko Djuric is not confirmed, KoSSev portal further reported, adding Deputy Director, Dusan Kozarev and Secretary General of the Serbian President, Nikola Selakovic would be present.

SANU to publish book with academics’ papers on Kosovo (Tanjug, KIM Radio)

Deputy President of the Serbian Academy of Science and Arts (SANU), Academic Ljubomir Maksimovic announced the SANU would start publishing on 12 March 2018, a book containing academics’ papers on Kosovo, including conclusions from discussions in different SANU’s departments on this topic, Serbian media reported.

This, according to Maksimovic, would be SANU’s contribution to the internal dialogue on Kosovo, launched by the President Aleksandar Vucic.

Former Serbian Foreign Minister, Vladislav Jovanovic said yesterday during the roundtable held within the framework of internal dialogue on Kosovo, that forgotten document related to the renewed accession of Serbia to the UN could be crucial in solving the Kosovo issue, Insajder portal reported.

Meanwhile, his colleague Zivorad Jovanovic said Serbia should pay attention to four things that Belgrade in no way must do.

Vulin: Stopping of “Great Albania” to start in Kosovo (BETA, RTS, B92)

Serbian Minister of Defense, Aleksandar Vulin said in Belgrade that the process of stopping the “Great Albania” must start in Kosovo and Metohija, Serbian media reported.

Vulin made these remarks in a roundtable, held within the framework of internal dialogue on Kosovo, adding Serbia must not allow the creation of “Great Albania” on its borders and to let others define its borders.

Blic daily writes today that internal dialogue on Kosovo and Metohija is held intensively not only in institutions and public, but also on social networks, and a term “treason” is used in most cases to describe current internal talks on the southern Serbian province.

According to the Centre for New Media “Liber” research out of the total number of posts on Facebook and Twitter, 38.6 percent a has neutral stance on dialogue, but the same percentage presents assumptions on the future of Kosovo.

Vucic and Trajkovic on issues Serbs face in Kosovo (TV Most, KIM Radio)

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met today with the Serbian National Forum from Kosovo and Metohija delegation, led by Momcilo Trajkovic, press statement of the President’s Cabinet reads, TV Most reports.

In a comprehensive and open talks, members of the forum presented to the Serbian President Vucic numerous issues Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija are facing and listed proposals on how to improve the current situation and resolve these issues.

Janjic: Division of power in Kosovo instead of dialogue (Danas, FoNet)

Internal dialogue on Kosovo did not result in a sufficient number of realistic proposals, meaning there would neither be a use of it for the Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic nor for the society to define the interests of Serbia and the Serb community in Kosovo in the process of normalization of relations with Pristina, Danas daily reported.

These remarks were made during the presentation of a report on monitoring internal dialogue by the Forum of Interethnic Relations.

Kosovo issue on referendum, possibility with several unknown variables (RTS)

Upon his return from Kosovo, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic announced the possibility of a referendum where citizens could express their stances on the Kosovo issue, RTS reported on Sunday.

Referendum in Serbia is not a common occurrence, however, over the last three decades Serbian citizens took part in three referendums on different issues.

Should there be a referendum or not, it would become known after the completion of internal dialogue on Kosovo, RTS further reported.

Kostic: Serbian Academy of Science and Arts is not party to have platform on Kosovo (Tanjug, RTV Puls)

Serbian Academy of Science and Arts (SANU) is not a party to have a political platform on Kosovo, instead it can only offer opinions of individuals, SANU President, Vladimir Kostic told Serbian media.

“Do not expect from SANU to take a joint stance on Kosovo and Metohija by over voting. This is not in the essence of the Academy. The Academy can offer opinions of individuals, and they differ to the extent present in the society,” Kostic told journalists commenting expectations from SANU in the internal dialogue on Kosovo.
