Today's edition of Belgrade's daily Politika writes about the upcoming Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic's meeting with representatives of the Serbian List as well as the leaders of all Serbian institutions in Kosovo. The meeting was announced for Friday and will discuss further steps.

As stated by the Director of the KiM Office, Marko Djuric "all subsequent steps will be withdrawn in agreement with the elected representatives of the Serbian people, the representatives of the institutions of Serbia".

A deputy leader of the opposition Party of Freedom and Justice (SSP) said late on Sunday that organisation would soon present a declaration on the reconciliation between the Serbs and Albanians which, according to SSP, both Pristina and Belgrade parliaments should adopt.

Marinika Tepic told Nova S television the declaration would be the beginning of the reconciliation process between the two nations.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic late on Tuesday spoke about possible solutions for Kosovo, but also about expectations from the upcoming meetings in Rome, and in Tirana. Vucic was a guest at the Serbian public broadcaster RTS show “Upitnik” where he spoke about solutions for Kosovo after the Berlin summit, noting that he does not want to deceive his people by speaking badly about Haradinaj and Thaci.

Another option "in the game" is to go to the polls on 30th June, and in this case the elections would be called on 16th May, writes today Belgrade based daily Vecernje Novosti.

If Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) goes with a decision to call the extraordinary parliamentary elections, most likely they will be called on May 9th, and the voting will take place on June 23rd, according to Vecernje Novosti.

Former Serbian Army Chief-of-Staff and now deputy leader of the opposition Peoples’ Party Zdravko Ponos said the opposition would be ready to consider the proposal of the Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic to hold discussion on Kosovo and Metohija in the Parliament, if Vucic would beforehand submit a report on what he has been doing so far in regard to Kosovo and present a platform on the forthcoming negotiations with Kosovo Albanians, Danas daily reported.

"You have been destroying and undermining for long enough, there's been enough pillaging, it's time for someone to build and work for the future of Serbia."

President Aleksandar Vucic said this during a large rally in Novi Sad late on Thursday, addressing the opposition.

He wondered "why there is so much bile and hatred among some people who say they are involved in politics, but who want to take power above all by using violent means."

Editor of BETA news agency, Dragan Janjic commenting on gathering of citizens to welcome Russian President Vladimir Putin in Belgrade yesterday, said it was a manifestation intended for domestic public, rather than for Putin. “This was a manifestation of power, while authorities want to present it as the manifestation of support,” Janjic said.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic told opposition which is alleging Milan Radoicic is a murderer to go to the police if they have evidence for their claims, Tanjug news agency reports.

He added in that case Radoicic would be immediately arrested.

“Just provide a single evidence, not empty stories (…). No one wants to hide a murderer. I hope there would be swift progress in this case, so we can see at the end who was telling the truth and who did not,” Vucic said.

Nine members of the Democratic Party's (DS) main board have voted against the formation of the Alliance for Serbia, and their party's participation in it.

At the same time, 180 members of this body were in favor, the DS reported on its website.

Daily Blic named the dissenting members of the main board as former DS leader Dragan Sutanovac, National Assembly members Natasa Vuckovic, Dragoljub Micunovic, Radoslav Milojcic, Gordana Comic, Vojovodina Provincial Board Chairman Miroslav Vasim, and Vida Ognjanovic.

Opposition People's Party (NS) leader Vuk Jeremic says the Alliance for Serbia will be formally established in September.

Jeremic told Beta that opposition leaders will this month present a 30-point program of the Alliance for Serbia "in direct communication with citizens across the country" - and that they are "open to suggestions and willing to accept any good idea."
