"Those who live in enclaves don't think it's part of Serbia" (TV Prva, Tanjug, B92)

Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic says he sees no readiness on Pristina's part to reach a compromise when it comes to Kosovo's status.

But Pristina has some things that "must be done," Dacic told Prva TV on Wednesday morning. According to him, "there will no better time for resolving the Kosovo issue." Dacic said that talks will be intensified in the next few months in an attempt to find a lasting solution for the status of Kosovo and Metohija.

He says there are two reasons for that.

„The warmongering rhetoric of certain media since the beginning of June, but also the concrete intentions to ‘spontaneously’ provoke the territorial partition, have rightfully deeply concerned our Bishop and forced him to react,” Abbot of Visoki Decani Sava Janjic said, KoSSev portal reported.

Radio kontakt plus interviewed citizens of Mitrovica North on the division of Kosovo as possible solution. Most respondents assessed the division of Kosovo as good for the Serbs in the north, but bad for those living south of the Ibar River. Respondents also warned division could cause exodus of Serbs from the south.

“North of Kosovo – talks on preparing autonomy” (Danas)

Belgrade-based daily Danas on its front-page reports today on polemics that surfaced following warning of Abbot Sava Janjic on possible staged incidents in the north of Kosovo. Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic in an interview to TV Pink called warnings “idle talks” adding that nothing has happened, and nothing would happen.

Pacolli: Division would not be good for Serbs in Kosovo (Danas, BETA, N1)

Kosovo Foreign Minister Beghjet Pacolli assessed that division or exchange of territories between Serbia and Kosovo would not acceptable for majority of Kosovo citizens, and would be detrimental to the interests of Serbs, in particular those living in central parts of Kosovo, Serbian media reported.

Pacolli told Belgade-based daily Danas that change of borders within Kosovo and Serbia “would open Pandora’s box and become a point of dispute in the entire region.”

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia Ivica Dacic emphasized in the interview for the Belgrade based daily Kurir, on the question of speculations concerning the alleged agreement between Belgrade, Pristina and Tirana on the exchange of territories and the division of Kosovo, that those are just speculations.

Political analyst Dragomir Andjelkovic believes there is a room to make an agreement about the territorial division of Kosovo, as a solution in the future, but only if this issue is linked to the status of Republika Srpska, in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Tanjug news agency reported.

Commenting on Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic proposal to territorially divide Kosovo and that Serbian churches and monasteries get the same status as those on Holly Mountain Atos in Greece, Andjelkovic underlined it is a rational proposal that could have a future.
