Dacic: Kosovo issue can be resolved by Serbia and Albania (Kossev)

''From the aspect of international law, an agreement between Serbia and Albania would be cleaner than the recognition of Pristina’s unilateral decisions,” Serbian Foreign Minister, Ivica Dacic stated yesterday, adding that these two countries can solve the Kosovo issue with ''compromise and in a mutually acceptable way.''

Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic told Belgrade based daily Vecernje Novosti.

He thus reacted to the assertion of Kosovo Foreign Minister Behgjet Pacolli that he had "knowledge" of Belgrade "promising financial support and arms" to some smaller countries in return for revoking their recognition of Kosovo.

"Equatorial Guinea is standing fast heroically. They’ve placed Kosovo on the agenda, even though the US and UK fiercely opposed this move. In further talks, they will see if they will seek a vote," Dacic said.

Ivica Dacic, the Foreign Minister of Serbia, said on Monday his country’s political priorities this year would be the Kosovo issue and the negotiating process on joining the European Union, the Beta news agency reported.

There are no signs that the format of the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina could change any time soon, said Serbia’s Foreign Affairs Minister Ivica Dacic on Sunday, adding that Serbia is ready to continue the talks but only after Pristina abolishes its 100 per cent tariffs on Serbian products.

“There are no talks from new starting positions,” Dacic told RTS, the public broadcaster.

Madagascar revokes recognition of Kosovo (Tanjug, B92)

The (Democratic) Republic of Madagascar has informed the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs that it has revoked the decision to recognize Kosovo.

"We have received a note from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Madagascar, informing us that the decision was made on December 5," First Deputy PM and Foreign Minister of Serbia Ivica Dacic told Tanjug on Friday.

Dacic pointed out that Madagascar is the 12th country to withdraw recognition of the unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo.

Dacic: Number of states recognising Kosovo soon under 100 (N1, Beta, Blic)

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia Ivica Dacic said that the number of countries that had recognised Kosovo’ independence would fall below 100, and then soon under the half of the 193 UN member states, Belgrade based Beta news agency reported.

Dacic told Belgrade based daily Blic that “Pristina authorities are in serious trouble” since their Interpol membership was supported only by 76 countries, two of which were not the UN member states.
