Vetevendosje to be part of talks with Serbia (Telegrafi)

Sources inside the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Alliance for Future of Kosovo (AAK) and Initiative for Kosovo (NISMA) coalition told Bota Press paper that the bloc has already agreed to have one representative from Vetevendosje part of talks with Serbia. “The composition of the delegation for talks with Serbia will be determined based on the level of talks. When prime ministers meet, it will be prime minister Haradinaj that will lead talks whereas meetings of different levels will be led by a Vetevendosje representative.

Kosovo Police arrest Zekerija Qazimi (Telegrafi)

Kosovo Police today arrested Zekerija Qazimi, imam of the El-Kuddus mosque in Gjilan/Gnjilane. Police also arrested another terrorist suspect, Lulzim Kabashi, from the village of Polac, Skenderaj municipality. Both persons are suspected of recruitment for terrorist activities, organization and participation in a terrorist group, and for inciting hatred, division and lack of national, racial, religious and ethnic tolerance.

Selimi: Hoxhaj has not called for participation in Syrian war (Telegrafi)

Kosovo institutions, namely Minister of Foreign Affairs Enver Hoxhaj, has never made a call for supporting opposition forces in Syria, said Deputy Foreign Minister, Petrit Selimi. He said there are attempts by certain individuals to mask their actions with a meeting Kosovo Government officials had with Syrian democratic opposition in Pristina. Selimi said Kosovo will always support all those who pursue Euro-Atlantic policies.

The latest actions and the arrest of Jihadists of ISIS and Al-Nusra in Kosovo are good news and a necessary reaction by security institutions. It would have been better however not to allow their numbers to grow like this.

Osmani: Williamson’s report, bitter and good news (Telegrafi)

Democratic League of Kosovo MP, Vjosa Osmani, said the report of the Special Investigative Task Force prosecutor Clint Williamson is both good and bitter news and called for justice for all victims. She said Williamson’s report is bitter for Kosovo’s international image and that “it is enough to only read international media in the last two days to understand this”. Osmani said it is unfortunate that many people misinterpret Williamson’s statement of findings.

Serbian List recognizes Republic of Kosovo! (Telegrafi)

Serbian List, in order to qualify for taking part in 8 June elections, registered as a political entity with the Kosovo Central Election Commission (CEC) and ran in elections that were organised in accordance to Kosovo laws. To gain legitimacy, the new Kosovo MPs have to be sworn in during the first session of the Assembly and sign an oath. All the above procedures were respected by the Serbian List and they can only mean that this political entity recognizes Kosovo.
